Sarcoma
Patient
Assistance
A 501c3 non-profit organization focused on easing the financial burden of sarcoma patients
at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Our Mission
The Sarcoma Patient Assistance Group is a non-profit organization comprised of a dynamic group of health care providers and patients with the goal to provide financial assistance to sarcoma patients undergoing treatment at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Sarcoma affects people from all over the world, from childhood to advanced age and every decade in between. We created the SPA fund to help alleviate the financial burden that comes with specialized treatments. We have two missions: (1) Spread sarcoma awareness, and (2) Ease the financial burden of our patient population by providing assistance toward transportation, parking, food, housing, and other basic needs.

Since the inauguration of the SPA group in 2014, we have provided assistance to over 300 patients and families which equates to over $32,000 dollars in financial support for food, parking, transportation and lodging. Without our tangible support, many patients are financially burdened and become unable to receive lifesaving treatment for their sarcoma.
